GoUP kept the same designer for ==twelve years==. In 2025 we rebuilt their ~~own website.~~
GoUP is a Slovak online marketing agency, and we have been their design partner since 2014. Twelve years of banners, logos, print, web design, social graphics and communication plans, across thirty-five of their client projects since 2024 alone. In 2024 and 2025 we turned that attention on the agency itself and redesigned the site that represents them.
Who GoUP is
GoUP is a Slovak online marketing agency specialising in PPC, SEO and performance work. They earn their engagements by being good at the mechanical parts of online growth: the campaigns, the optimisation, the measurement. The kind of agency whose value becomes clearer to a client three months in than at the first meeting. For twelve years we have been the design side of that, working across their clients as closely as an in-house team would.
The agency that sold ==modern marketing== had a ~~dated website.~~
Marketing agencies live and die by the first impression their own website makes, and GoUP's had fallen behind. The old site had grown the way these things do under client-work pressure: pieces of templates assembled over time, with custom work layered on when there were hours to spare. It functioned, but it read as less professional than the campaigns the team was running for other people. When a prospective client landed on it, the gap between what they saw and what GoUP actually delivered was the kind of friction that costs conversations before they start.

Twelve years of context, then a ==redesign.==
Most agencies redesigning their own site hire someone who has to learn the business from scratch. We already knew it, from the inside, across more than a decade of their client work. That meant the redesign could start from what the agency actually is rather than from a discovery questionnaire.
The usual approach
A production studio builds a marketing site from a template brief. Hero, services list, testimonials, contact. The pages exist, but the site doesn't argue for anything specific. The agency ends up with a website that could belong to any agency, because the process wasn't about finding what makes this one different.
The Brightline approach
We started with user research and competitor analysis, not wireframes. We built personas around the kinds of clients GoUP actually wants to work with, studied how peers in the space were positioning themselves, and only then drafted structure that supported the story GoUP needed to tell. The site was designed around who GoUP is, not around template defaults.
How we rebuilt GoUP's site, in ~~four phases.~~
Audience research
We started by defining who GoUP's ideal client actually looks like. Not a generic B2B buyer, but the specific kind of business that benefits from GoUP's approach to digital marketing. Personas that could be used as a filter when we made every later decision.
Competitor analysis
A look across the Slovak and regional marketing agency landscape. What other agencies were claiming, what they were showing, what they were hiding. We mapped the space so GoUP's positioning could occupy a clear spot rather than blending in.
Wireframes and prototypes
Before touching visuals, we explored the structure. Several navigation concepts, service-page layouts, and homepage storylines. The point was to get the architecture right before aesthetic decisions started arguing for attention.
Visual design
A clean, modern aesthetic that reflects GoUP's current level of work. Typography and color choices that feel confident without shouting. Imagery that makes actual work visible rather than leaning on generic office photography.
A system, not just a ==new look.==
What GoUP got back was a site that finally reads at the level the team operates at, built as a system rather than a set of pages. Structure organised around how a prospective client actually searches for a service. A visual language with assets designed to work beyond the website, on social and in campaign material, so the agency could stay consistent everywhere it shows up. Twelve years in, it remains the piece of work that changed how the agency presents itself.
