Small by choice. Strategic by nature.
Brightline is Mike and Michaela, a two-person design and strategy studio. We help founder-led businesses close the gap between the company they've built and the website or brand that still represents the company they used to be. The same two people you meet at the start stay involved throughout the work.

Behind every project is a real business, real goals, and real people relying on it. That's why understanding the context comes before making anything look good.

Two people. That's the whole studio.
No account managers, no juniors, no rotating team. The people you meet at the start are the people responsible for your project through to the end.

Mike Checinski
Mike leads client relations, communication, and management at Brightline. He's usually the first person you'll speak to, and he stays close to the project from the first conversation through to delivery. His role is to keep expectations clear, decisions moving, and the relationship straightforward. Technology, computers, and games have interested him since he was young, and he's now deepening that interest through a remote Media Informatics degree alongside his work at Brightline.

Michaela Fodorova
Michaela leads design and Webflow at Brightline. After more than ten years inside a marketing agency, she started Brightline to put more thinking, care, and design expertise at the center of the work. She leads the visual side of projects across websites, Webflow, branding, UX, and graphic design, and asks a lot of questions before opening Figma because understanding the problem comes first.
We wanted design to have a bigger seat at the table.
Miška spent more than ten years inside a marketing agency, learning how teams work, how clients think, and what it takes to deliver under pressure. Over time, one thing kept pulling her in the same direction: she wanted design to be part of the thinking from the start, not something added at the end to make the work look better.
She kept noticing the projects where people wanted to understand why a design decision was made, cared about how their business was represented, and saw their website or brand as something worth doing properly. Those were the projects she wanted more of.
With Mike bringing the business, communication, and client side of the partnership, Brightline became the studio we wanted to work in: small, involved, transparent, and built around the idea that good design starts with understanding the business behind it.
Understand first. Design second.
Good design starts with understanding what the business needs to communicate, who it needs to reach, and what the work needs to do. Four things we hold to on every project.
Understand before designing
We start with the business, the audience, and the problem the work needs to solve. Design comes after we understand what it needs to do.
Empathy first
We listen more than we talk. Your goals, your customers, your context. That's where the work starts.
Honest communication
You know where things stand, what's next, and why. If something changes or takes longer than expected, we say so early.
Collaborative by nature
We work with you, not just for you. The best outcomes come from both sides being genuinely involved.
Work that fits around life. Life that feeds the work.
Brightline is remote, but more importantly, we don't think good creative work comes from staring at screens all day. Space away from the work matters too.
We go to concerts and exhibitions, travel and explore when we can, and pay attention to how things feel outside digital design too. Spaces, objects, experiences, and the small decisions somebody made along the way. That curiosity finds its way back into the work.
We think people do better work when there's enough life around it. So we try to build Brightline that way.
Founder-led businesses, and the agencies who serve them.
Founder-led businesses
Businesses past the "get anything up" stage, where the website or brand now needs to reflect the quality and clarity the company has grown into. The founder is often still close to the decision, and the business is personal to them.
Marketing and design agencies
Teams who are excellent at what they do and occasionally need senior design or Webflow capacity they can put their name on. Fully white-label.
The questions founders actually ask.
Web design and Webflow development, UX audits, branding, and graphic design. Every project starts with strategy and is built around your specific goals. When a project needs support outside our core services, we can bring in trusted specialists for SEO and PPC. We also have access to a WordPress developer for suitable projects, subject to availability.
Founder-led businesses who have outgrown their first website, and agencies who need senior design or Webflow capacity they can put their name on. If you see design as an investment rather than a cost to minimise, and you want a partner who treats your business like their own, we will get on well.
Every project begins with understanding the problem, the goals, the audience, and what the work needs to achieve. From there, the process depends on the service. Websites move through structure, design, Webflow build, testing, and handover. Branding, audits, and graphic work follow their own agreed phases. We set the checkpoints before work starts, so nothing arrives as a surprise.
A UX audit starts at 1 200 EUR, a landing page at 3 200 EUR, and a full website at 7 500 EUR. Branding starts at 2 800 EUR for Essentials and 5 800 EUR for a full identity. Graphic design starts at 650 EUR for a focused Starter Kit and 1 200 EUR for a Campaign Kit. The Design Partner plan is 750 EUR per month for 10 hours, with unused hours rolling for up to three months. Hourly work is 85 EUR. Every project is scoped individually, but the starting point should be visible before a call.
We agree the moments where your input is needed before the project starts. Most of the work stays with us, while your role is to give context, make decisions, and provide feedback at agreed points. If your availability is limited, tell us early and we'll plan the project around realistic response times.
If you get busy, tell us early. Fixed dates and agreed checkpoints help keep the project moving, but we would rather adjust a plan openly than let work drift in the background. We make decisions and feedback as easy to act on as we can, while keeping expectations realistic on both sides.
For the work we take on, yes, and it is deliberate. We keep our active project capacity small so Mike and Michaela can stay directly involved. If a project genuinely needs more capacity or a different specialism than we can provide, we'll say so before you commit.
We are based in Slovakia and work remotely with clients internationally. English is our default working language, and between us we also speak Slovak, Polish, and German. We agree communication and meeting times around the project so everyone knows when to expect each other.
Brightline is deliberately small. You work directly with Mike and Michaela, the same people responsible for the project itself. We put time into understanding the business before designing, make pricing and process visible, communicate early, and build the work so clients are not dependent on unnecessary layers or complexity.
A conversation is enough. We will ask about your business, your goals, your customers, and anything you already have such as brand materials or content. The more context you share, the smoother the project goes. Do not worry if things are not figured out yet, that is exactly what discovery is for.
Curious whether we're the right fit?
We'd love to hear what you're building. No pitch, no pressure, just an honest conversation about where you're going and whether we're the people to help you get there.
